How you get paid
Short version: the studio pays you, not FlipKey.gg. FlipKey.gg is the plumbing. It records which sale came through your link, works out what each studio owes you on a fixed schedule, and hands the studio the statement. The studio sets the rate, shows you the statement under its own name, and pays you on its own rail.
What counts
- Only studios that have you on their roster. A studio invites you or approves you; then its games show up on your Promote page. Promoting a game whose studio hasn't added you earns nothing.
- Sales through your tracked link. Copy it from Promote, paste it anywhere. The buyer has to complete a paid checkout; giveaways and free claims are not sales.
- The price the buyer actually kept paying. Commission is on the pre-tax price. A partial refund lowers the base; a full refund or chargeback removes it.
What can come off
- Refunds and chargebacks after a statement is issued appear as a negative line on your next statement with that studio, for exactly the commission that no longer stands. An issued statement is never edited.
- Self-referrals and faked traffic. Buying through your own link, incentivised clicks, or anything that looks like it can be voided by the studio. Voided orders are never counted again.
- Nothing else. No platform fee comes out of your side. FlipKey.gg's fee is paid by the studio on the sale.
Where you see it and how you get paid
Your Referrals page shows every sale credited to you as it happens. Statements, the monthly totals a studio owes you, are shown by the studio wherever it runs its program, under its own name, and paid by the studio however it pays its creators. FlipKey.gg never holds your payout details and never moves the money. Anything a payer needs from you for taxes (a W-9 in the US, for example) is between you and the studio; FlipKey.gg never collects it.
Guidance only, not legal, financial, or tax advice. Your agreement is with each studio; its terms link (when it provides one) governs. The schedule above is how FlipKey.gg computes statements for every studio and is not something a studio or FlipKey.gg changes per creator.
